Why does the boards team delete posts once in a while?

It keeps on happening, this is my third time with this post https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/jFwTE8Oj-playing-off-meta-in-ranked-int-feeding-ban? The other 2 occasions were on the euw boards, this one first https://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behaviour-en/MtsWiUEj-i-got-suspended-because-of-this? and then this one https://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support-en/Ev9lFvkc-i-have-been-banned? but i understood the last one because someone asked on the boards how much was his account worth, and i agree that's not a good thing to do. But the other two?

The first one is a post made preeeeety long ago, like 2 months ago, but it was deleted only now. I even made some pretty long conversations over there, a lot of people answering me, and now i lost all of that.

People send me messages and when i try to see the context the page is deleted. I agree with posts being locked, but not really with them being deleted.

ps: these are not my posts

Either the op deleted it or the op went havok in the comments.

Remember that the time we do our actions isnt so much about when the post is made, as when it is REPORTED (although rarely do we go and delete old threads on NA at least) so its very possible that something slipped through and then got reported much later. If the Mod didn't check the date the post was actually made they might have thought it was current (Mods are people too so minor oversights do happen xD) and removed it with respect to normal rules for current threads. Sometimes people go around digging up and reporting old threads, as for why, I have no idea lol

Yea discourse peob took a wrong turn into the realm of hate speech and harrassment and there were prob enough ppl involved that it was better to delete the thread than to delete each post and penalize each person.

I can't speak for the actions of EUW moderators, but posts on NA are deleted for one of several reasons:

  • Incorrect board placement before enough discussion has started that it's better to leave the thread up.
  • Content in the initial post that violates the Universal Rules.
  • Sufficient content in the comments that violates the Universal Rules, to an extent that it's easier to delete the entire post than simply delete the individual comments.

If you imply anything that someone could assume is negative in a thread it will be deleted.
