Anybody notice a sharp, recent drop in average thread quality?

I visit the boards multiple times a day, and while I'll be the first to admit that not every one of my comments/threads is a winner, I feel like the amount of meaningful, interesting, thoughtful, or even just enjoyable content has just plummeted.

There've always been low-quality threads, but it feels like the concentration has gotten much higher as of late, which is a shame, because I feel like the boards had been steadily improving until relatively recently.

Anyone else, or is it just me?

Nami I expect a lot of the time the Boards will go through fluctuation with general overall quality. Back and forth and really depending on your personal preferences a lot of the time it may not line up with what you find interesting or acceptable.

One thing you can do however to help these fluctuations from happening is upvote and respond to quality posts that you want to see more of. It is encouraging for those posting those types of materials to have positive responses and people engaging with them on the topic they took their time to write about! When people feel like they are being listened and responded to they are more apt to continue talking!

You could also start (or keep) posting high level quality posts yourself! :)

If you have any suggestions on ways for the Moderation team to help with these things, definitely let us know. We are always interested in doing things better for the community!!!
