Punishment Notifications

So a while back I got into an argument on here, and one of my posts was deleted by a moderator. I don't agree with the reasoning, but I didn't care enough to argue the ruling so I let it slide. Every time I click on the notification button on the upper right of the boards the message saying my post was deleted shows up.

It has been three years now. Is it normal for a notification like that to stay for this long? I honestly expected it to vanish eventually, but it's been long enough that I'm curious as to whether it's bugged or not.

Do you mean the alert doesn't go away (so there's always a "1" in the moderation messages), or that it just always shows on the list?

Because they are supposed to just stay on the list, but if the number isn't going away, check if there's a "mark as read" option or something similar.
