Weekly Community Roundup - June 19, 2017

Hey everyone, and welcome to our third edition of 'Weekly Community Roundup', your one-stop-shop for great conversations from the past ~~seven~~ 12 days! We know some of you aren't able to follow the Boards as much as you'd like to, so we'll work to fill the gaps in the meantime.

You may have noticed that we didn't have a new edition of the Weekly Community Roundup for last week. In addition to rolling out a few of our newest community volunteer programs, we wanted to shift our publish date from Wednesday to Monday to keep each edition more relevant. We hope you notice the difference, and without further ado, here's what you may have missed while you were busy climbing the ranked ladder:

Kick-Ass Conversations

You Shall Not Pass!

There's always room for another Gatekeeper skin. Check out Darkrown's flawless execution of the skin concept for Gatekeeper Karma!

Community Rune Collection

Here's a community-run project to compile a lot of the feedback and ideas from the Boards Community about the Runes Reforged proposed updates.

Improving Gameplay Discussions

A discussion about the susceptibility of the Boards to external influences segues into the introduction of the Gameplay Wardens.

On Attitudes and Support Items

Meddler gives his thoughts on the state of support items and provides some insight into frustrations that some Rioters face.

Ain't Got Time for Toxicity

A reminder that we're all working to improve at League, and we all begin somewhere. Be kind, be patient, be understanding.

What to do about Yasuo?

What makes Yasuo fun or anti-fun? What changes should Riot consider to make Yasuo healthier in-game?

This Week’s Stickies

Join the Boards Team on Discord!

Are you a chatty Cathy? Hey, me too! Join us in the #off-topic channel on the Moderation Discord for some gr8 times!

IT'S HAPPENING!

Junglers rejoice! The long awaited Vision/Warded ping is hitting the PBE in the coming patches.

The Roffles

Hypothetically Speaking...

Bringing back a very classic hypothetical: Your main is now your roommate...

Something Something Honor...

This meme is pretty dank, with an extra side of shade. Potentially relatable. ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

Thanks for tuning in, and feel free to point out any great conversations we may have missed!

Hey guys, just to add to Wuks' post, Gameplay isn't the only board with new blood! Concepts and Creations now has their own set of moderators who also handle Story, Art & Sound!

I'd recommend checking the stickies to every board, as there's a good chance your favorite board now has some extra presence from a moderation team. Don't be shy, we're all here to help and get feedback on the boards!

Roleplay just finished our Warden applications. We made a post introducing ourselves over on our board: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/roleplaying/GYf03mts-our-roleplay-wardens

Glad you think so! We're always open to your thoughts and suggestions for improvements (for this or other things) though, so if you have thoughts to share on any board definitely feel free to track down the moderator's posts, or post in the Boards Feedback board!

I always appreciate the kind words and feedback with these publications. A decent amount of work goes into each edition, and I'm glad to see people utilizing this series to stay up to speed on the Boards. <3 tyvm OceanicEyes

Ooh yeah! Community roundup time!

They're not the only ones with new blood! The Roaming Wardens are also there and we are good to go! We are looking forward to working with everyone!

Like this round-up thing going on. It gives me news that I may have missed over that next few days. Keep up the great work.

I saw this one when it came out, but thanks for making me smile again.

At least for me, it was a bit upsetting to see Meddler's perspective on why there's not too much Riot engagement on the Boards. I guess this is why we can't have nice things. :c

I'm just glad that he said something. Its something that we need to hear and its good for him to keep us in check when we step out of line.
