[RESOLVED] 7/19 NA Boards Platform Issues

7/23/18 - 1:46AM PDT - The Apollo team has rolled out a fix that should address a number of the issues below. If you continue to experience issues with the NA Boards Platform, don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks!

The NA Boards Team are currently aware of a number of issues affecting the Boards, including:

  • Broken profiles
  • Issues with posting (double posting, posts not going through)
  • Issues with threads loading, ie. when clicking "Show More"
  • An increase in error 500 messages
  • Vote number not changing immediately when voting
  • Occasional "Unable to retrieve discussions" message when visiting Boards

At this time, we do not have further information regarding the status of these issues; however, we will do our best to inform you as additional information is made available or resolutions are effected.

The only issues Ive had in career is the rare moment where I try to upvote/downvote and getting the message "You do not have permissions to do that"

This was before the boards changes, so I dont see it anymore

Some of the issues I've encountered:

  • For the past few days I've been unable to access my Boards profile, as well as that of a select few (but not all) other users. Doing so via a direct link or separate URL input takes me to the Error: 404 page.
  • On random occasions, voting on a post generates no immediately visible results, and the up/downvote tick is only visible once I refresh the page. Even so, the score doesn't update properly.
  • Pressing the post button occasionally produces no results, requiring a new page to be loaded on another tab so that the contents can be copy-pasted and posted properly.

Does anyone know what caused this, or how to fix it?

In the Dev Corner, posting doesn't give notice that you actually posted so continuing to press the post button makes multiple copies of the same post.

Not sure if "Loading threads" includes the showing more. Also it seems fine on mobile while Firefox is having none of it.
