every single one of these posts always gets people from these servers to make a comment that basically always fall under the same thing to bump it into recent which gets annoying when they do it every day at different times on month old posts
While we actively encourage communities in which people get together, the Discord advertisements are starting to take over as a growing trend. The other Roamers and I have been discussing methods of how to handle it as well. We've actually been taking steps to reduce this sort of thing if it's effecting the community negatively though. Firstly, we're reducing recruitment threads to once per every three days, as highlight in the Player Recruitment rules. Anyone who makes multiple recruitment threads in a single day is breaking those rules.
Secondly, we also have the 24 hour bump limit, one bump per unique user, and threads that are mostly bumps will be instantly removed, no matter how many posts they've garnered. I've gone to a couple of Discord communities individually to reach out to them as well to explain things to them as well. We're slowly trying to bring down so much spam, but it will take time and not everyone will adhere to the rules, but we'll get there.
