So I notice the ranked rewards this season don't seem to mention a new forum badge anywhere I've been able to spot, but it's been a pretty consistent thing over the years. Is this a thing that might be perhaps "coming soon(tm)", or was there a conscious decision by someone somewhere to not have rank badges going forward?

To expand on the response by From The Cosmos: Badges will definitely be coming along eventually, but we don't know the exact timeline right now. Stay patient, and know that ranked rewards for everyone eligible for them (i.e. those not banned between 8/22/2017 and season end, and those not chat restricted when the season ended) are on the way!
2017 Ranked Season badges are now being rolled out and should be visible hopefully within the week. The gears are turning!
