Why are we allowed to downvote before reading the post itself

So first off, the point of downvotes is to get rid of trolls and spammers. This clearly isn't the case for the LoL boards users, the occasional troll title post won't get upvoted to the front page where everyone is looking anyway so that's not a problem.

Most posts have more information in them. It's not always easy to just look at the title and know exactly what arguments are going to be presented. Even if you do have a good idea, not looking through them anyway is still a very condescending and overall close minded thing to do.

Can we please make it so that you have to actually click on the post to vote on it? The front page should not be an instant circle jerk, and the recent page should not be the playground of which the sociopaths decide what gets buried for all eternity and what gets fed to the front page. One or to three downvotes should not hide the post unless someone clicks 'more posts' at least three times to dig it up.
