I honestly feel like the boards are more toxic than my own league games.

Seriously now. Every time I open up the boards, I'm met with nothing but a front page full of complaints, rants, biting sarcasm and full-on salt about how top lane sucks, how riot sucks, how adcs are destroying the game (since forever, apparently) and all sorts of negativity. Even more depressing is that it's always easy to recognize that the most circle-baiting titles are posted by the same people who keep trying to push their own narrative. Actual, good discussions are so far and few between that you actively have to dig through the filth just to find them.

It's getting to the point where I'm starting to consider never visiting the boards again, since it just gives off a negative vibe that subconsciously is beginning to affect my own performance in-game.

Any one else get this kind of vibe from the boards?

the boards are negative because the game once gave its players a certain experience. That has changed, and people are pissed that they can't have the game they used to enjoy every day. Whether or not you feel like its "better" is entirely subjective, and, honestly, logically, i fail to see how the game is better since they are now openly designing it around the least amount of people possible, LCS, rather than the playerbase that made LoL happen in the first place with their dollars. Don't see how catering to the LCS 1% can possibly make for a better game for the other 99%.

That's because 90% of the time its just people in bronze complaining about how they cant climb outa of bronze in whatever fashion they choose.

then there's 8% shitposting

then finally 2% actual discussion.
