League's favorite rock solid champion got himself a nice new buff this patch. A little extra ad for those brutally striking autos, and a lower ult cooldown allows you to be the rock solid foundation ready to shake up a teamfight in your favor.

... But seriously though. The real reason you'll want to play him into any ad champ is his passive % bonus armor (+30 % at max rank), the attack speed reduction on his E (50% attack speed slow for 3 seconds!), and (surprisingly enough) his W. Does the enemy have a black cleaver and/or last whisper? Laugh as you already had 500+ armor, and still have over 200+ to spare even after being shredded. Enemy autoattacker wants to R-click you into oblivion? Press E and watch as you basically activate exhaust on steroids and cut their damage in half. (Also has the bonus of messing up a certain female sword wielding champion's auto attack canceling combos...) . Get into a 100-0 all-in duel with a melee champ? Press W and get (at bare minimum max rank with 2 armor items) +100 physical damage on your autos for 6 seconds.

Just picked him up again and forgot just how powerful Malphite is stat-wise. It's actually quite disgusting how much damage and tankiness you have.

as an ADC, pls don't listen to this guy! i DON'T want to see more Malphites running around the rift!!! He just fucking tanks all my damage, he takes no damage, his ult is just a big middle finger and he is so goo- I MEAN he's so bad... yeah.... totally takes all the damage, dies in 2 seconds and has no ult? So Pls, PLS don't pick malph... unless your on my team that is

He's good for winning lane, horrible for carrying shit teams. I get some of the shittiest teams imaginable. While Malphy is super powerful, if you have a team with no working brain, you're gonna have a really hard time. Kinda hard to win the game with him when your team is always conspiring to die before you can arrive to the fight.

I play ap tank malphite in bottom lane for that level 6 enemy adc ragequit.

Having trouble with mid laners assassin or mages? Pick Malphite. Early harrass with E and 100-0 combo them with ult at level 6. AP malphite thug life.

I play Malph AD it's surprisingly OP I use lethal tempo or conqueror depending on enemy composition.

Hope this is a joke because 1) malphite loses to ad tank killing champions top, 2) he's actually one of the weakest top laners vs the most broken adcs in the game (kaisa and xayah), and 3) he has some of the lowest staying power out of all the tanks (part of the reason he's total ass vs adcs that aren't immobile), in a meta where the support has 50 shields up this is bad.

there is more opportunity to outplay irelia now? i mean you can dodge her stun technically which for some reason has the aoe of 5 malphite ultimates but ya know.
