Nonsense. You wouldn't/didn't delete The Djinn's comment about literally making friends, or his comment about having a sprawling estate with no basement, despite both being in Player Behavior. Humor has a place on every board here, and shows up on every Board here because of it.

You can argue his comments weren't constructive or polite, fine, but don't try to say that "funny" only belongs in one Board or act like you delete it from other Boards where it shows up.

I don't think he really meant it that way, only in the context of the comments that were removed because they were rude when the poster claims they were supposed to be "funny". We absolutely are ok with people having a little fun; just not at the expense of others.

Can I just say that, out of context (and in a serious conversation) seeing this sentence is hilarious?

But I think this is a case of misunderstanding regarding Chermog's comment -- note the specific use of quotes around "funny." Humor is fine. Even humor that isn't immediately related to the topic is fine, as long as it's a friendly aside and not something that takes over the thread (see my comments you mentioned, for example).

A comment that serves no purpose other than to make a veiled insult that doesn't prompt any further interaction, however, is the sort of "funny" that isn't appropriate...because it's not really funny unless you're in a place where you EXPECT that humor. I think the quotes were super important to Chermorg's point there, although I admit that it's an easy one to misinterpret as a result.

What Nami said - the reason funny was in quotes was to signify that it is not something that everyone else thought was funny.
