Is it name calling when the person admits to that behavior?

OP makes a post admitting they intentionally fed, and that they got banned for it. At one point in my response I say "Be gone troll."

Despite trolling being an accurate description of their behavior, that short sentence gets removed by moderation. To me, that's slightly ironic, since it makes it seem like I said something far worse to them, like calling them one of the words listed in the Universal Rules as a no-no.

So open to discussion. Is calling someone who admits to trolling a troll not permitted? If it's not allowed I think there's a lot more posts on the boards that need to be modified/removed.

Yes, it's still name calling even if they admit to the behavior. Someone admitting to something doesn't immediately grant you immunity to calling them out.

I'm not finding an edit in your recent post history, but that could just be a lack of being properly caffeinated.

In general, anything which discourages or appears to discourage someone from using the Boards is not a good idea. It's often difficult for moderation to tell when someone's joking (and they almost always come to the Discord to claim they were joking, regardless of how lighthearted the comment was).

I read that post, and I read it as implying he was a forum troll (probably because, let's be honest, it kinda started looking like that). Could be that's how the mod read it, too, which would kinda explain the removal.
