to help sell my idea, I would also like to make a few points relating to this idea.
Point 1 rioters :
(trying to avoid hyperbole) a few rioters have often stated that the boards can be a bit overwhelming at times. Whether its due to the increase amount of negative posts, or the obvious use of hyperbole, they trend to stay away from certain topics. Even if those topics offer very good valid critiscm. I think having a separate board for suggestive ideas can help tone down these types of post and allow rioters to seek active feedback about certain things without having to sort through the hate.
Point 2 Diffusion :
Whenever there is an excessive amount of something, it is usually easier to get rid of it by breaking it down first. I think when it comes to opinions , it works the same. A lot of the board has stated to be an echo chamber that recycles the same few ideas that sometimes will drown out the other ideas. I think having a separate board will help these ideas seem a lot more solid and concreate, while also giving more unpopular opinions a bit more time to shine ( since less people will be downvoting it hopefully ).
Point 3 Clarity of observation:
I think the strongest point on the boards that has been made over the past months. Is the misconception of the size off feedback. Often times certain posts will be highlighted towards the top, and it will usually be followed by a similar post of the same nature. This gives the illusion that X amount of players Feel a certain way about certain topics. While sometimes this is usually true, there are quite a number of times this gives a flase impression about what players in this community thinks about certain things. Hince giving way to the common phrase "Boards are a small size of the community"
I think having separate boards for ideas and general gameplay discussion, will allow people to see things a lot more clear, without only being able to sort through the more hyper exaggerated posts on the front page.
