Lock voting to only threads you have commented in.

Oh, so you were able to read the post then? Or maybe you simply guessed what I was getting at. Yeah, the idea was to encourage rational debate by limiting voting to only those who can be bothered to comment. My original idea was to lock only downvoting to those who comment, but I figured that idea might rub people the wrong way... making it seem like a ploy to make finding that downvoting coward easier. That's not the point. The point is to force boards users with no rational argument to choose between a)hiding the irrationality of their opinion by not posting and b)undermining their own position by posting without a valid argument to present Essentially creating a "damned if you do and damned if you don't" situation for irrational posters.

Are an intended result of such a change. Posters who post without having an argument to present just make their own position look bad. This disincentivizes those who know they have no argument from posting in the first place, raising the overall quality of the discussion by restricting it to only those who have an opinion they think is (and looks) rational.

Bug? Yep bug. Whole OP vanished, can't read or edit it. When I try to edit it, I get "error fetching discussion to edit".

Probably cuz it got deleted by A: the mods or B: by the OP.
