My friend told me that in S1, Tryndamere, Evelyn, and TF were super op. I started playing s3 so I have no idea what they were like. Can someone tell me why they were op.

TwistedFate Twisted Fate was pretty scary... The Gold Card was an Area of Effect Stun, so it locked up anyone near where he hit. His teleport had a global range, so he could go anywhere on the map, and it was a regular skill, not his ultimate. His ultimate slowed every enemy champion on the map about 35% and made him not able to be stunned by any skill after he teleported...

Evelynn Evelyn was not someone you wanted to see in game... The invisible wasn't a passive, it was an activated skill. If you attacked a champion when you were invisible it would stun them (I forget how long it lasted but it seemed like forever, like Fiddlestick's fear). One of her skills removed your armor if you were behind them and did a ton of damage. So Eve's would go invisible, then get behind you and nuke you out of existence. Her ult increased her attack speed and movement speed for extra nuking potential. Her passive caused her not to aggro the tower or minions right-away when she attacked an enemy, so she was an invisible tower-diving demon. When she killed another champion she stole some of their health. So even if she took tower aggro, as long as she killed someone, she would likely survive.

Tryndamere Tryndamere was super mega death rocket scary... But I don't remember why. I started playing nearer to the end of the first season, and mained AD Carry the entire time. I was mostly concerned about mid roaming and the Jungler and had very limited knowledge of the top lane at the time... I just remember if he got close to me I couldn't do anything but flash away or lie down and accept my death.... sometimes both.

Reenactment:

MissFortune "OH NO TRYND!!!" Tryndamere "Hue hue hue!" MissFortune AHHHHH!!! summoner 4 Tryndamere (SPIN RIGHT ROUND BABY RIGHT ROUND LIKE A RECORD BABY towards ADC) MissFortune (DIE) Tryndamere "Hue hue hue!" MissFortune "Pls Trynd, Mercy!" item 3070 item 3070 MissFortune {{summoner:10}} revive at the fountain and (REPEAT) until the game is lost.

Even after they changed TF into the general form that it is today (though still global) and gold card wasn't an AOE, he could backdoor full hp towers without any minions if he was building ap with lichbane, because of how slowly tower damage stacked up (if it even did, I forget) and because the difference in damage dealt to towers with and without minions was not as high as it is now. In fact, with spell vamp and if an enemy minion wave was at nexus he could take both towers without dying. It felt as though if your inhibitor was destroyed against a half decent TF, the game was over, because you had to have someone at your base constantly for fear of his backdooring. I distinctly remember one game when I was TF, and we were far enough behind to guarantee we couldnt win any given teamfight, but I traded my life for inhib while my team delayed, and then backdoored the nexus as soon as I respawned (CD on his ult was also shorter).

I think the evelynn stun was 2.5 seconds? dont know for sure
