Champion Update should be a bigger team than it actually is

IronStylus, Grumpy Monkey, ohmikegoodness, and the rest have a lot on their plate.

What I don't get is that VUs/champion updates are one of the biggest tasks Riot has to take on but they have one of the smallest departments. The release time of VUs is basically a crawl. At this rate itll be 5 years and still wont be done with VUs. I feel like it should actually be one of the biggest departments.

The value a VU brings to the champion and game overall is staggering. It turns quantity into quality It reinvigorates that champion, giving it new life Make them more viable to the game Yes it may give some champs unwanted attention but after everything is said and done, the champ is definitely in a better place than before the VU What it did for Sivir was amazing. Game changing

Champion Updates has become an important part of Riot's continued progression over the years and going forward. It really should be a bigger team seeing as the quality of each VU keeps improving and VUs in general are getting more and more attention

Agreed. Given that at present about 60% of new champs team has to be fully staffed with people either A) coming up with then scrapping early concepts and B) endlessly fine tuning and tweaking one of the four new champs we'll see this year.

I think they can spare a few folks. Or, date I say it, the god damn e sports team.

Haven't the VGU teams grown exponentially over the past year or two? :\ They've been coming out with more and higher quality reworks lately compared to the time that Gangplank, Janna and Kayle saw their first rework/VUs or whatever.

Also your complaint that "we'll never be done with VUs at this rate" is irrelevant because as long as people play League Riot will not be done with VUs. There is always room for improvement.

It seems like they are constantly allocating resources to it, so I'm not really sure how your post is timely...
