I too am upset at the lack of announcements. HOWEVER...

I, in all honesty, have been far more aggravated when Riot has announced champions and let them sit for weeks or even months (Aatrox, Lucian) before actually letting us play them.

While their current behavior isn't much better, it still is a little. I'd rather have them release a champion two days after announcement instead of months.
