[Gameplay] My potion never left my item slot

I just had an aram where my pot when I tried to use it turned black in my item slot and if I click that item slot doesn't do anything. I'm not sure why something displayed as there after the pot was gone. I'm not sure if I got the benefit of the pot or not. I'm pretty sure the issue corrected itself later when I bought a new item. The tab menu showed I didn't have any item in slot two contrary to the upfront display.

Not sure how to reproduce.
