Is the game breaking?

I was in Ascension champ select, all of a sudden people started leaving the lobby, but champ select was still happening. The countdown would reach 0, then nothing. It stayed like that for a bit then the other team was able to ban, then it went to 0, then ended the lobby. What is happening????
