This is a store purchase issue. I purchased Akali for IP but my account IP total did not drop. I wanted to see if it would happen again so I also bought Anivia right after and then my total reflected both purchases. Donno if this helps anyone, but I thought I should report it.
Happens for RP too.
First purchase doesn't reflect your totals and the second one drops it by both.
At first I thought I was getting charged full price for the sales then I realized what was going on. I hope this is a bug and not some shady dealings to make you feel confident about spending some RP/IP. :)
It tends to not update properly, but it still has the correct amount of IP stored. If you restart League it will always show the proper IP or RP
