Sion's Decimating Smash Bug

Just wanted to know if anyone else is having this problem.

As of late, Sion's Q will occasionally skip the first cast (the knockup) and go straight to the AoE slow, despite only pressing the button once.

It seems to happen randomly too, which can be pretty gamebreaking.
