League crashed while loading into a ranked game following the new patch.

Tried starting a ranked game right after patching, and once the loading screen came up, the game crashed, and gave me a message along the lines of the game couldn't connect to the server.

Clicking "Retry" did nothing, and eventually caused my screen to black out, which required a force close.

The real problem arose when i tried to re-open league. I keep getting the error message in the picture.

Opening with admin privileges doesn't help.

Update 1: Opening the client via the lol.launcer.exe file booted the client, but launching from here gives the same error message. I tried starting a repair through this way and while the repair started, and successfully finished, the same error message popped up after trying to start the game. (Issue persists when trying to start the game via the regular client as well)

Update 2: Only thing that fixed it was reinstalling the game from scratch.
