cant undo purchase while dead

this is at least the third time it has happened to me but rarely wheni make a purchase while dead i cant undo it, either while dead or after spawning. I see a post on the boards from a couple years ago that seems to say that this is caused by damage instances while dead (which could explain why i feel like it happens while playing teemo a lot) but if this was a known problem two years ago surely it would be fixed by now?

It's not fixed because if you die as teemo, and get death cap, you would want your shrooms to do more damage, even while dead. I guess you wouldn't want a jhin to sell all his items and go AP until he respawns for the chance someone walks on his trap.
