Dropped from promos due to matchmaking bug.

This happened during the queue for my second promotional game.

After one ranked lobby was disbanded because someone dodged, I was considering leaving the queue to avoid some of the players I'd encountered and did not wish to be matched with again. After a bit of hesitation, I clicked the "X" to cancel out of the queue, but was instead given a message that I could not cancel out of the queue as a match had been found. Afterwards I was given the usual "accept or decline" option that appears when your match has been found, but the 10 black squares that represent the players were all black and unresponsive. This remained on the screen long after the timer had run out. Figuring this to be an error that would only be exacerbated by closing my client, I waited. When it eventually did disappear on its own, I checked my profile to discover that my promo series had been ended because the game counted as a dodge, despite me never being given the option to enter champion select.

I don't care about getting back into my promo series, but please address this issue. I figured something like this would happen when the queue blacked out, which is exactly why I didn't close the client. Having my chance taken away anyways because the matchmaker broke is just unfair.

Riot's client is still a buggy piece of garbage this far along its lifespan.

It's sad, really, that I know of the issue you're talking about OP but can even one-up it (minus the losing promo series part).

I once got into a ranked lobby and I was able to chat, first pick was able to ban, and we were able to see the enemy team's picks. However, their first pick took the entire time period and somehow swapped champions (on my screen) after the timer ended. But the timer didn't properly end. It was stuck with them picking (their guy was still highlighted, it was as if it froze) and we couldn't pick (despite it giving us the timer to pick) and the captain and I (we were purple side) were forced to dodge. Fun times.

Also, getting "disconnected from PvP.net" during champ selects when my internet hasn't cut out and my ping hasn't increased at all - which makes it impossible to pick as clicking a champion then breaks the client because it "can't connect."
