Sion's ult can be slowed by Jhin's bombs

I ulted for a gank engage, long story short, while i achieved max speed for his ult, i was ultimately slowed upon running over Jhin's bomb. Is this intended? If so, there is a clarity issue with Sion's ult description as it says that he is "immune to crowd control effects while ulting", as this situation says otherwise.
