Thresh Death Sentence

So sometimes when I use Death Sentence with , the animation hits the enemy but nothing happens. The shill shot literally goes as far as the cursor, but the spell effect doesn't. This really concerns me because missing death sentence is signing a death warrant. I always end up getting some CDR, but the bug is still frustrating. Please fix.
