So, Ezreal's Q is considered both a damaging ability as a psuedo-Auto Attack, by my understanding, not just an auto attack. So why is it this spell will not work with Deathfire Touch?
Replication is easy, Q an enemy champion with the Deathfire Touch mastery. It will not apply DFT, for the Q at least, W, E, and R will still do this though.
Deathfire Touch is a spell effect.
Ezreal's Q applies on-hit effects and doesn't apply spell effects.
This is the intended behaviour.
Ezreal's Q is a damaging ability, however it's an ability that applies on-hit effects, and if a spell applies on-hit effects than it will not apply spell effects. A spell can apply one or the other, but not both (of course, there are like 1 or 2 exceptions, but I won't get into that).
Now, Deathfire Touch is considered a spell effect, and since Ezreal's Q applies on-hit effects and not spell effects, it will not apply Deathfire Touch.
