It takes a good 30 seconds of black screen before it loads back up, and if you make the mistake of clicking anywhere, it doesn't register in lol and alt tabs LoL again, continuing the infinite black screen.
Border less windowed doesn't do that and you can make it full screen so it is instant.
Wait whats the difference xD (I don't know them lol)
I'm seeing a similar problem, although I haven't had it be that long at all. Before this patch it was 1 second at the most and after this most recent patch it is now ~3-4 seconds of the black screen and a cursor.
