[PvP.net] Major crash issue with air client

Unfortunately I can't narrow down a cause or 100% reproduction steps just yet, but this issue seems to have an effect on my entire PC.

I have had this problem consistently since the most recent patch, it has happened six times so far today.

While sitting in Queue (new champ select, ranked specifically), something happens after about 5-10 minutes.

  • While browsing on google chrome waiting for queue to pop, right clicking a link or button on chrome will crash it instantly.
  • I am unable to interact with my desktop anymore. I can't right click links or left click to open a new program, not even through explorer.
  • If I let the issue persist or, sometimes, if I continue to right click on my task bar or other parts of the desktop, my entire PC crashes via BSOD.
  • If I right click something on my league client, it instantly crashes the client and everything returns to normal after restarting the client.

I can still navigate the client, but right clicking will instantly crash the client and restore all functionality to my desktop. I'm not entirely sure what information I should be providing to help narrow down a cause, so please let me know what to offer.

Repairing the client did not work. Restarting my desktop did not work. I am definitely not the only player having this issue.

Hi Marty!

Thanks for reporting this!

Could you attach the following to your report -

LoL Client Log

One log is created per each play session, and each file will appear like this:

LolClient.20110429.200043.log (The file name will include the time it was created - in this case: April 29th, 2011 at 20:00:43 (8PM)).

You can find them here:

C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases[VERSION NUMBER]\deploy\logs\

Maestro Log

There are two Maestro logs (maestro-server.log and maestro-game_client.log): You can find them both here:

C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Logs\Maestro Logs

I'll pass this on to the team who tackles this content. If we need any additional information, we'll reach out. ^-^

There is a memory leak in the new clubs system. You can watch it as it happen by opening the task manager, then quickly scrolling back and forth in a club. You will see that the memory of the client will rapidly raise. Once it reaches a limit, it will crash not before strangle all your other applications running.
