Client Freezing

Ever since the preseason update anytime i do something on my league client it freezes for a while afterwards. If i scroll down my friends list it freezes for a few minutes, if i try to queue then it freezes for so long that the queue pops and disappears before i can even see it, and closing or opening the client takes over 5 minutes now. i need this to be fixed because the game is actually unplayable now.
