Unending connection Issues

I keep Disconnecting In this Aram match. In addition to this, Everytime I try to trade a Champion in Aram from the "available Characters" list at the top of the Aram character select, my client doesn't register the change for 15-20 seconds. Sometimes it even says that it's trying to reconnect for a second or two, before finally switching to the character selected. My internet connection is stable ('ve checked).

Edit: To add to this, every time I try and Log in via the client, it takes two try's. The first try always results in the error message "An unexpected error occurred while logging in. Please try again. if ths issue persists, contact support at support.riotgames.com" The second attempt always works though. This pattern has been happening without fail for the last couple of days. Whats going on?
