Ryze VU Messed Up His Spells

I can barely see his E anymore. I tried laning with him last night; it's very frustrating. Anyone else experience this?

Side point; this new "washed out" thing you are trying to accomplish? I think it's OK for the Rift but with Ryze I feel like he looks like he wasn't finished yet. Very unclear design. I don't like it at all.
