Mastery problem in aram

Hi just played an aram game with lucian with whom I have mastery 5. I play the game, we lose, but i end up getting an s-, however, I did not get a mastery 6 token(i don't own any of his mastery 6 tokens btw). Thinking this was weird, i went to check my lucian's highest season grade and lo and behold it was still at A- . Is this a bug?? Can we only get tokens when on the rift? (Ik last season your highest season grade updated even for aram). This isn't too big an issure for me, but it would be nice to get my token and season highest grade updated.
