Ranked Down? (Can we get some information please?)

Nothing on the forums giving us information on why the ranked is down. And now it seems to be extending to normals too.

Showing me I can only play bots right now but it's only telling me that ranked is down? tf

Obviously, it's a bug. It's not really necessary that we're given explanations, since we can't really do anything with that information, so just roll with it until they find a fix.

It's always nice to know why. I doubt many people can do anything about it but it's just a point of interest.

There's no reason to hide it either.

There's no reason to hide it either.

There could be tons of reasons to hide it. If what's causing the bug is something to do with programming and operations on their end that customers are not intended to see, then they would absolutely hide the reasoning.

There are several things Riot doesn't make evident to us, such as the report system, honor levels, MMR levels, codings within matchmaking, and other "under the hood things." A lot of the mechanics they keep from the players are sensitive information gathering systems that can be abused if players saw the inner workings of them (such as reporting - people could be dicks until they get to 1 report away from punishment, then stop, and keep up with the pattern after their account resets, etc), so it's very understandable if Riot doesn't need to tell us what's going on if an error with something on their end that only they can see is causing problems.
