Client does not respond when you press "Lock in"

I have "dodged" two games tonight due to this bug. It is not like I am waiting until the last second. I picked my champ with ~10 seconds left, hit "lock in" and it made the noise like I picked my champ. Only thing is that the timer kept ticking down and I couldn't click anything else until I eventually left the game for not picking a champion. I have had an issue with the client where it freezes during champ select. My client is not freezing. I simply can not lock in the champ I want every few games since the 9.24 patch.
