Fps drops to 1 or 00 when opening shop for the first time each game

This is a reoccurring problem i have every single game i start a new game. It only lags at the start of the game when I open shop for the first time. And more recently pressing the shortcut P doesn't work to open shop when I start a game either. I think it happens on both of my computers.
