yasuo passive not procing from velkoz ult

I just played yas into vel and died with my shield up in his ult. I had my shield up before he started his ult. It proc'd later in the game, but not fighting in mid lane.

Are you sure that the ult simply didn't melt through your shield? It's not that big you know.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. Yes. I still had a fully charged shield.
