Joined a game with someone who left during champions select

Well I was gonna ranked and during the 3rd pick for my team our midlaner(katarina) left but the picks still continued.After we joined the game i realised she was center of the fountain(afk).I found that unfair because if she left the queue should cancel and if I dodged I would have gotten a queue.We ended up losing.I think it was a bug because if she left during picks why continue if it isnt a bug im done with league and I pay money for this game btw.
