So my game crashes in champ select and it counts as a promo loss?

Basically before my promos i dodged a match because of a bard jungle claiming he was about to troll. Ok, then i won my next game and qualified for my promos. So then i go in to champ select and get the msg “retrieving data from server”, the game proceeds to crash, it counts as a defeat in my promos FOR WTV THE FUCK REASON, and now im banned for half an hour yet im on a winstreak. RIOT FIX YOUR DAMN GAME, like wtf!??? And i have been reading threads about this since 2013 liek have you still not implemented a new system? Why? Holy shit dodging matches should not count as a loss in your promos, just take LP from the person, because when your shit doesn’t work it’s not fair that we get punished.

Tbh there is no way for the system to tell the difference between a dodge and a crash as the way to dodge is to close the client down and if you crash then your client generally closes down so the system is just recording that you were in a queue and now you are no longer there. it does state in all ranked games as a tool tip that if you dodge you will loose lp and if you dodge in your promos it will count as a loss.

now i understand the problem you have as 2 days in a row i had the same thing happen while i was in queue for just a normal draft, i didnt loose lp or get a loss in promos or anything but i got the same crash issue and this was after i had already played a couple of draft games.

you queue for a game you get game found and it goes to champ select but there is a black screen and the message “retrieving data from server”, but no matter how long you wait nothing so you close it down and restart the client and boom you are either in a low priority queue and/or have a wait timer of 10 mins or longer depending if you have dodged a game or not earlier in the day.

I guess if you got a bug splat report you could try submitting a support ticket but i am not sure if something can be done about it

at least in this specific situation its pretty easy to alleviate...

If a person doesn't connect, is afk, or dc within the first 5min or fb, the game stats shouldn't be counted. No one gets a win or a loss.

The person or party offender will take a time penalty (to requeue) and an abandon against their account. a habitual abandoner (with or without reason) will be shipped to low priority queue for sometime (dota does it this way)
