Health/Resource Bars?

Sometimes when I play, the health and resource bars are...empty. I'm not dead either, they're just not showing up. When you lose health or mana (or energy) it'll have the little effect for that, but the bars won't be there. I usually notice this once, then just forget to look at the bars altogether, so I'm not really sure if this is a problem or not.
