Game crashed?

I'm not entirely sure what happened, I logged in and went to join a ranked game as normal. Instead of loading into the game however, it gave me a black screen for a long time, then eventually said "You have been disconnected, please check your internet connection and try again". This is odd because I've never had an issue with my internet connection, I was actually on the web at the time with no issue. I closed out the game and reloaded it, it took me to the champion loading screen just fine, then told me the game had ended. My team had used the remake function [i don't blame them for that] and I lost 18 lp from this.
