Odyssey queue times when in a party

So I've played a couple games of Odyssey now, and both times I was queued into a game almost instantly, which makes sense with it being a new game mode. However, I'm now trying to play Odyssey with a friend but the queue times are suddenly extremely long. It got to about 3:45 before we decided to reset the timer, and then after that, it took us about 4 and a half minutes before we actually got into champ select.

So does being in a party for this game mode affect queue times for some reason?
