Illaoi's Test of Spirit debuff leads to Illaoi getting tower aggro'd.

If Illaoi pulls out someone's Spirit and the debuff (where they spawn tentacles, tentacles will try to hit them, and an initial minor slow) is triggered and said person ends up getting hit by a tentacle because of their own fault for not dodging, then Illaoi ends up getting tower aggro'd when she's not even attacking them.

Trigger Illaoi debuff.
Stay near your tower.
Have the Illaoi push tower with minions or such (so they don't start with aggro).
Let yourself get hit by a tentacle from debuff.
Illaoi starts taking aggro for no reason when it's your own fault for getting hit.

its because the tentacles are owned by Illaoi, same thing happens with yorick ghouls and heim turrets.

But the Ghouls and Turrets are directly owned by said champions and they have to spawn them in order for it to attack said person.

Illaoi's tentacles literally do nothing by themselves. They only attack because said person has the debuff. Illaoi's not controlling them. She probably didn't even spawn them most of the time.

So it's not her that's attacking nor is it her fault they got hit. So her taking aggro makes no sense.

It's Illaoi's damage though. Does add an interesting element in combination with how towers will now target you for damaging an enemy even if the enemy isn't in tower range, makes some counter play to her just pushing you out of lane and seiging tower so long as you can withstand an extra tentacle slap or two

Or you could just dodge the E or the tentacles from the debuff afterwards because you getting hit is your own fault.

She shouldn't be taking tower aggro because you got hit in the first place.

If Illaoi dealt damage to an enemy champion under the turret then she should take aggro. End of discussion. While sure it sucks that the enemy can purposefully give you tower aggro, that's the risk you run.

Uh yeah no. Illaoi doesn't deal that damage. You deal that damage to yourself.

The only part Illaoi deals damage with her E is the initial first stage where damage can be reflected. That would deserve tower aggro. After that, Illaoi literally has no effect on what happens next. She could recall. She could TP. She could literally just AFK. She's not the one damaging you. It is your fault and your fault alone if you get damaged by it. You dealt that damage to yourself by not dodging.

Say what you want im just explaining why it isn't a bug...the damage is coded is Illaoi's, if it finishes a kill, it goes to Illaoi. It get credited as damage for damage dealt to champions. Therefore it triggers tower aggro. If you stop and think about it, once Heimer puts his towers, it's not his call to attack the champion, it's the AI and the enemy's fault for walking into range of them. So really, it's the same thing.

The difference is Heim's turrets will always attack people and he directly summons them himself. Illaoi's tentacles can be spawned by the Vessel and will not attack anything that's not a Vessel, Spirit, or commanded to by Illaoi's W. But eh whatever.

It's still an enemy champion attacking under turret. If you're under their turret aggro'ing them with any skill, you're saying you want turret shots. You can't pick and choose which types of abilities you want to work and which you don't.
