random game crashes?

Me2. Happens mostly in the first few minutes after a game starts. I hear an error message pop-up with the windows 10 sound, however I can't see it. It appears that the error message is displayed on the full-screen window of the league instance, which in itself crashed. There fore I can't see what the error message says.

In my opinion it has something to do with the full screen services like direct x or something, but I can't say I have enough knowledge to make a good guess.

Like OPs statement, this started to begin after the recent patch. Clean installs or full repairs do not seem to help and they happen every other game.

When the crash occurs, i can not close nor do anything on the screen that has the fullscreen window open. I simply alt+tab, which leaves my main monitor black screened and open task manager on my second monitor, where I close the league game/full screen instance.

The launcher then takes a bit and offers to reconnect, which works and I never had a crash in a game after I reconnected.

However this is still really game breaking since I always lose crucial time in the beginning of a match.

While playing with friends - my character seems to not take too long before starting to run to base, which may indicate the reason? - I had other crashes where the game files got corrupted and left my champ sitting there idly, not realizing I was disconnected.

I don't think this is just me.

Lol always had random crashed for all players, but recently a lot of players do seem to get them in my games more than usuall, and come back shortly after like I do.

Is this a known issue with the recent patch?

I would like to know something about this or I probably will stop playing for a while until this will get fixed because I don't like to start with a disadvantage into a game - my teammate are already enough on that front - haha classic lol cliche.

Just found a possible solution that I will try out - will just copy and paste it:

Ok, so I was instructed to go to C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\solutions\lol_game_client_sln\releases\0.0.1.245\deploy ----> then right click on leagueoflegends.exe.

1. From there- click on the compatibility tab and uncheck everything on that page- including "Run this program in compatibility mode for."
2. Then go to your league client shortcut (most likely on your desktop) and go to the same compatibility tab in preferences.
3. On that set of preferences, "run this program in compatibility mode for" needs to be unchecked, along with all other boxes.

Apparently this dude got instructed by riot support to do this.

I have no idea, but my league was starting in compability mode even though I never set it to do so.

Maybe this will help for you guys as well.
