Matchmaking mismatch

Tell me this is a bug, and not an intended match? I was against a Diamond 5 I'm Silver 4-5.

How is it possible that I am matched against someone 2 whole ranks higher than myself. She obviously owned me hard, and was solely responsible for her winning the game.

If this was somehow intentional, please re-evaluate your matchmaking system. There is no reason for this kind of game.

I've had that happen one before. I'm B3 and I ended up against a G2 LeBlanc. It was miserable. I think it's just an occasional hiccup in the code that rarely happens.

I better clarify. This was a normals game. I know the two track mmr/elo separately. However, there needs to be something that looks at both scores and helps to choose matches accordingly. A normal match should take into account the ranked status. The ranked status is probably more accurate about player performance.

Probably should move this to gameplay?

If only we had balanced games a decent amount of times. They are about 5%... Something doesn't work, and they aren't even planning about doing something.
