In the concise clip, yasuo was clearly hit by Azir's ultimate before being hit by the final tower shot that killed him but yasuo was executed instead of azir getting credit for the kill.

Though I do think they should rework the kill/assist system in order to give kills for CCing a target under turret, as there are a lot of damage-less CC out there.
If it doesn't affect their health, it doesn't count as a kill or assist.
