No Option to Reconnect

My friend disconnected in champ select and the game started. When he logged back in there was no option to reconnect but the game continued.

-UPDATE- He logged out and reconnected, but idk wtf happened.

-UPDATE2- Riot board moderators deleted my post. How does this not belong in "Report a Bug?" I'm so sick of threads being deleted because it can go in both fucking threads.
