Can't combine key fragments or open chests

When I left-click on (3) keyfragments, nothing happens (except for a sound). When I right clikc and choose 'forge inot Hextech key' also nothing happens. I also can't click of the boxes to get the usual animation in the right window.

(Btw is it normal that I have 2 piles of chests? I have one pile of (2) and one of (5), both are chests without keys. I never bought any chests or keys.
