Mac Keybind Bug - Can Type In Chat And Right Click Move/Auto Attack But Nothing Else

I've now experienced this twice, and i'm unable to find out how it is reproduced except that it happens after typing in chat and issuing a command right after (using an ability/trinket/summoner spell), but obviously it doesn't happen every time I do that.

The issue in detail is as follows:

• Abilities do not respond to keybindings or mouse clicks - simply nothing happens as if you didn't attempt to cast them.

• Pings do not work via clicking or keybinds.

• Hitting the space bar to recenter the camera on my champion has no effect.

• Right clicking on minions, monsters, and champions will result in an auto attack as normal, right clicking to move is normal, chatting is normal.

• I was able to use my warding trinket but it did not show the range indicator or targeting cursor.

• I think I would've been able to use summoner spells, typing D to smite allowed me to hear the click that tells you there is nothing to smite, but it did not give a targeting cursor or range indicator.

• The escape key does not bring up the options interface, clicking the options button on the minimap has no effect.

The only way I've resolved the issue is by force quitting and reconnecting to the game, afterwards all keybinds and mouse clicks respond normally. The first time you attempt to force quit the normal message asking you if you're sure you want to leave comes up, but you cannot click leave, you have to force quit again.
