[GAMEPLAY] Shen's Shadow Dash not applying damage at first moment.

I was in a scenario, facing ahri as shen, with each of us having only 100 health left. I dashed towards her with a max level shadow dash, and hit her with it, and the sound that occurs when shen hits a champion with his dash rang out. At this same moment, ahri's fox fire hit me, and I died.

Ahri did not die, and took 0 damage. Despite the fact that the sound effect for successfully landing shadow dash played. Ahri did not have banshee's veil, or any magic defence, actually.

Perhaps, the coding for this game has the sound effect play first, and then the damage occurs? Then I died in this brief window, so the game did not apply damage? I don't know: it is rather frustrating, because the game tells me I landed the attack, but no damage went through :/
